Thoreau's 1857 Loop
The trip of a lifetime.
In case we haven't already spun you the story already, one of our greatest adventures was a 16-day paddling trip through the wilds of Maine, the last frontier on the east coast. We hooked up with Yankee Magazine to shoot this group of folks re-tracing Thoreau's 1857 route that he wrote about in his book "The Maine Woods". We had no idea what was in store. It was glorious and grueling, painful and beautiful - truly the trip of a lifetime.
