Little Outdoor Giants | Directors & Photographers

Little Outdoor Giants is Dom Casserly & Jarrod McCabe. We’re photographers, directors, creators, collaborators - we do pretty much everything involved to create cool stuff. We approach each project as unique - because we believe they all are. We adapt our roles for every shoot to make the best work possible. We both have the exact same skill set and use all of them on set as needed.

For Amy Rose Productions what we propose is spending a whole day shooting a mock BTS story, at your studio as well as on location, a sit-down profile style interview (at your studio), and oh-so-many happy, candid, fun moments of Melissa and Chelsea in action; in their studio, on location, having fun, directing talent, being creative, and basically having the best time ever while clearly creating awesome imagery that is in line with your brand and clients needs.

How We Do:

Amy Rose Studios:

We would plan on scouting the studio ahead of time - helping craft ideas, moments, and angles to shoot. We understand the needs of what excites clients and we know we’d need to shoot not just the space, but you two being creative and fun in that space. From the massive cyc wall, to you two using your equipment, to the details and style of the space, and including not just moments of you two behind the camera, but also storyboarding, planning, producing, editing, working on a computer, maybe even a quick meal moment to really showcase the beauty and possibilities of working with Amy Rose in her own well curated space.

On Location:

Similar to the studio showcase, we’d want to scout a location you’d be able to rent or borrow that shows you two having the same amount of creative fun and control, while working outside of your studio, and working well with natural elements of the space, as well as directing talent and shooting tethered. Perhaps we can even get a friend or creative stand-in to act as “art director” to show interaction between you and a client or team. We loved the Seed to Stem location, but are also open to anything you have in mind, and can recommend others we’ve shot at as well. From as simple as a lakeside location showing fashion, to a well styled farm location. We’d want you to work on bringing in some production value to showcase a similar shoot you’d be doing for clients, that could mean tethered to a laptop on a cart, lights and scrims on stands, a wardrobe rack and stylist. Again, we’re open to it all and think you may be able to work with friends and creatives as helpful stand-in’s for some of these roles.

Interview:

To drive the narrative and the social motion pieces, what we propose would be to sit you both down together and spend some time in your studio doing a loose and fun interview. We’d capture this from two angles and have you mic’d up and record this to be able to pull out sound bites and snippets of you talking about your business, your passion, and how you work. In post, we’ll log the audio and footage to help create the auditory narrative that explains the drive behind Amy Rose. Using this footage and audio and laying the lifestyle and docu-style shots we capture of you two working collaboratively on set and on location we can help both explain while also showing the world what is is you two are capable of.

EQ and Production:

We work as light and as nimble as possible, while still bringing a high-level of production value to our projects. We will shoot with DSLR’s but will be using stabilization, lighting and fill, and audio equipment to capture our scenes. We like to be as creative and collaborative as possible and we take pre-production and tech scout seriously. The more information and brainstorm we can have before shoot day free's us up to be able to concentrate on creating great moments, capturing candid and changing subjects and be as prepared as possible on shoot day. On that end we’d love to scout your studio and possible location as well as talk with you two further about any talent, casting, wardrobe, props, etc. that will help fully tell this story in the best light.

Little Outdoor Giants Motion & Imagery

This motion piece we shot has a similar shooting style that we would like you to see, where the audio narrative is driving the piece, but you can see the visual are not them talking directly into the camera the whole time.

Little Outdoor Giants Commercial work for Dunkin Donuts Bold Campaign featuring Erik Weihenmayer, The first blind man to summit Mount Everest.

We like this piece to showcase for you again as a “Profile” piece of an interview narrative driving the visuals.

A conservation piece for Maine Mountain Collaborative and its' efforts to conserve large tracts of Maine's vast forest.

For this we interviewed 5 individuals, on location, and used that audio to tell the story of this great non-profits work and efforts.

This motion piece we included to share with you what you can do with lots of seemingly un-connected motion moments and transitions to form a “feeling” and get a real sense of energy from.
